ABOUT the Classes

I am offering two distinct opportunities to enjoy drawing and painting in my Summerhall studio.  For those who regularly enjoy making and creating as well as  those who have never touched a brush, this class gives you instruction and support. The hand and eye senses work together and I will give you gentle one to one instruction from a gently technical perspective as well as through an intuitive approach to mark making.  I previously ran this class with a larger group but ease I have decided we will use my Studio at Summerhall and therefore we will be a maximum of four participants so we can discuss what each of us wants to explore or achieve.

1- A weekly evening class

Where we can play with different ways of drawing from a still life, experimenting with different materials in a vibrant and challenging three hours.   

2 - INTENSIVE PAINTING WEEKEND

On this intensive two day workshop we will be exploring some drawing basic principles as well as the vital ingredients of intention and energy, there will be discussion about art and making. Practicing on paper loosening up our gestures and having fun on the first morning we will then progressing to composing a still life painting in either oils or acrylic paint.
